Why Real Madrid should sign Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale has been in sensational form for Tottenham Hotspur this season.

One of his best performances came during the Europa League: Round of 32 fixture against Lyon at the White Hart Lane, where he scored two brilliant free-kicks to help Spurs win the first leg.

Ever since that day, he has been considered one of the best players in the world alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Certainly he is a talented player with the same free-kick technique as Ronaldo and the pace and skill required to play almost anywhere on the field.

That is exactly why Real Madrid should buy him right now.

With Neymar arriving at Camp Nou to "help Messi carry on being the best in the world", Real Madrid should be worried, as this means Barcelona have just purchased one of the hottest prospects in world football and has convinced him into helping out one of the world's best player.

Neymar's arrival means a lot to Barcelona as they will be able to improve their attack from the left, provide better service for Messi from the left, use Neymar as a replacement for Messi and ease the pressure on the Ballon d'Or winner.

This is what Real Madrid lack. They do not have a replacement for their star player. They are even ready to pay him €15-million-annually after tax in order to keep him at the Bernabeu.

That is why Bale to Real Madrid would be the best buy of the season for Real as they will be able to improve their attack, ease the pressure on Ronaldo and even play both of them together with the duo on either wings.

"He’s better than Neymar, because he’s playing in a more competitive league. If someone is worth €100 million right now, it’s Bale. With Neymar we’ll have to wait and see," Toshack told Punto Pelota.

In any case, Bale might even prove to be the perfect replacement for Ronaldo if he is given enough playing time (which apparently most Real Madrid players lack) and he has proven to be quite impressive even when he has been out of form.

Probably they best reason for Real Madrid to buy him would be that, Neymar hasn't yet proved his worth in Europe, failing to score against Barcelona (during the Club World Cup) or any major European International teams. While Bale has increasingly gained popularity among the European crowd due to his outstanding performances in all competitions.

So, Real Madrid will not have to worry about him turning out to be a disappointment.
