Neymar has recently showed why he is worth the £48.6 (€57m) transfer that Barcelona paid for him two weeks ago.

In the Confederations Cup, he has also proved why is is Brazil's most feared and most admired character with his spectacular effort against Japan and his left-footed volley against Mexico.

And you can't forget his outrageous piece of skill to leave two Mexico defenders for dead as he set up Jo for a simple tap-in on the edge of the six-yard box.

He has shown a lot of desire and spirit, be it tracking back to help out the defence or putting in the crunch tackles - this kid seems to have it all.

His turn of pace has also lit the scene within Rio de Janeiro by beating the last man or making the defence-splitting run forward.

He has a chance to be one of Europe's greats and sit beside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as being one of the best players in the world.
