Mercedes have received a reprimand after taking part in a controversial tyre test, while they have also been banned from taking part in the young driver test.
The controversial test was run by Pirelli, who have also been reprimanded with the decision made by the FIA seeming to be an attempt to cut out any advantage from taking part in the test.
Costs of the investigation have also had to be paid by Mercedes, with the payment being shared between them, Pirelli and the FIA.
The test was a 1,000km tyre testing at Pirelli’s request and took part at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya last month.
Part of the reason the FIA and other Formula One teams were unhappy over the testing was the fact that Mercedes were using their 2013 car, meaning they were also able to progress what was happening with that.
The young driver test, that Mercedes will not be able to take part in, runs for three days at Silverstone from 17-19 July.
The FIA rejected all other and further conclusions.
