Laura Robson will face a tough task to progress to the second round of Wimbledon after being drawn against world number 10 Maria Kirilenko.

The Russian reached the last eight of the French Open and was knocked out of the same round at Wimbledon last year.

The British number one lost in the first round of Wimbledon last year and will have to be at her best to ensure she doesn't suffer the same feat.

The World number 37 hasn't been in the greatest form after losing in the second round of the Aegon Classic in Birmingham last week and went out of the Aegon International in Eastbourne on Tuesday.

British number two Heather Watson has also been handed a tricky draw after being paired with Madison Keys. The 18-year old American reached the third round of the Australian Open in January. But Watson reached the third round of Wimbledon last year and will hope to produce something similar this time.

Fellow Brit Johanna Konta will take on 16th seed Jelena Jankovic while Elena Baltacha faces Flavia Pennetta and Anne Keothavong plays Spain's Garbine Muguraza.

Defending champion and French Open winner Serena Williams has been drawn against Luxembourg's Mandy Minella and last year's beaten finalist Agniezska Radwanska will play Yvonne Meusburger.

Two most likely challengers to Williams will come in the form of Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova who face Maria Joao Koehler and Kristina Mladenovic respectively.

The full order of play will be released on Sunday afternoon.
