Premier League fans will have an early clash of the titans, sending sparks and emotions flying when Manchester United host Chelsea.

There has already been an ocean of rumours and drama, accompanied by cocksure billionaires who are sailing their ships hoping to land their destination to acquire their treasure.

Treasure that will provide an extra kick, a jolt of energy, or simply, an added flash to their crew.

The Red Devils will hope to land the most rare of treasures available, as the Blue Army has just reignited their love affair with Jose Mourinho, who can only be described as a mirror image of Captain Jack Sparrow, with his intrepid and beguiling approach when it comes to competitors.

The Red Devils are adamant to secure the trigger-happy Polish front man, Robert Lewandowski, who would link up beautifully with Robin van Persie. Whereas Chelsea have expressed an interest in Uruguayan thunder-cannon Edison Cavani - after an absent on-target front crew for the latest season.

However, these treasures will only come into view after the enchantment of the Confederation Cup diminishes.

Fans, owners, directors and mangers are poised with the brilliance that the preparation games provides, but simultaneously wish for it to end so they can just get down to business.

And with a relatively challenging first half for both United and Chelsea, the Premier League strong holders will get down to business as soon possible.

Chelsea face United in the second game of the season, August 24 2013. A battle between the opposing managers, which promises an entertaining competition.

Thereafter, United and Chelsea will face other title hungry warriors in the likes of Liverpool, Everton, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur,  all in a close time frame.

The transfer window is sure to provided more excitement, but all we can do for now is anticipate.
