Kevin Doyle has denied reports that he will join Leeds United this summer.
Brian McDermott, who previously signed him for Reading from Irish club Cork City, was reportedly interested in signing the Republic of Ireland international.
In an interview on Irish Radio, the 29-year-old, who joined Wolves from Reading for £6.5 million in 2009, said: "I was with Brian at a wedding at the weekend and we had a bit of fun together.
"He signed me at Reading when he was chief scout, but no I won't be signing for Leeds."
So who will Brian McDermott turn his attention to next? One name who has been consistently linked with a move to Yorkshire is another man McDermott managed at Reading - Noel Hunt.
Hunt can play either up front or on the wing and a deal is thought to be very likely.
However, McDermott has been linked with a move for fellow Irishman Anthony Stokes from Celtic, who will be available for a cut-down price due to his unwillingness to sign an extension to the contract which will expire next summer.
Leeds have also been linked for a move with a move for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake again from Wolves.
The former England Under-21 international's contract will expire this summer, leaving him free to seek another club, but Leeds look set to face stiff competition from Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace.
Ian Holloway has previously managed Ebanks-Blake at Plymouth where he played for two years before making the move to Molineux.
