A selection of Manchester United's youngsters are on show at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey, looking to impress on the world stage and jump-start their Old Trafford careers.
England kicked off their campaign with a 2-2 draw with Iraq, a match that included a start for United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, with fellow Reds Larnell Cole and Tom Thorpe watching from the bench.
It had all started so well for the Three Lions, with goals from captain Conor Coady (Liverpool) and fellow midfielder Luke Williams (Middlesbrough) either side of half-time giving them a comfortable lead.
Johnstone played his part making a fine double save which led to England's second strike.
However, in the 75th minute the United goalkeeper conceded a penalty when he brought down Mohamed Abddulraheem - the spot-kick was converted by Ali Faez. Ali Adnan then levelled the score three minutes into injury time, beating Johnstone with a low drive.
United striker Angelo Henriquez made an impressive start with Chile, also in Group E, playing 58 minutes of their 2-1 win over Egypt but failing to get on the scoresheet.
Also in action was the Reds' first summer signing, Uruguayan full-back Guilerrmo Varela, who played the full 90 minutes as his national team lost 1-0 to Croatia in Group F.
