CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda has been linked with a move to Serie A giants AC Milan after impressing during Japan's run in the Confederations Cup.
Milan are keen to add to their squad and, according to reports, they see the 27-year-old playmaker as the perfect addition to their midfield. With 19 goals in 76 appearances for his club and 15 goals in 45 caps for his national side, it's clear Honda is a talent.
The CSKA Moscow star hinted he has been offered the chance to play for a big club and believes he is ready to take the next step in his career, although he won't make a decision until August.
"I don't know where I'll be taking the next step yet but I know I've got a chance to play for a big club," Honda was quoted as saying by Japan Times. "I have until August so I'll wait and see. If I go to a big club, I'll become an infinitely better player."
Honda's contract with CSKA runs out in December 2013, meaning they could lose him on a free transfer, which could prompt the Russians to let him go to Milan this summer for a small fee.
