With the transfer market officially opening soon, many Premier League clubs are working hard to ensure early signings so that players can blend into their new team and can gain a full pre-season with their new side.
Manchester City have already been busy early on with the signings of Jesus Navas and Fernandinho, as they look to win back the Premier League title after conceding it hopelessly last season to rivals Manchester United.
At the other end of the table, Aston Villa have also been busy. Paul Lambert has already signed five new players to add to his side, which were so close to relegation all of last season.
But what are the potential five biggest transfers of this summer going to be?
Well we have decided to look into the five players that could be on their way into the Premier League.
Paulinho | Corinthians to Tottenham Hotspur
It was announced yesterday that the Brazilian midfielder, who is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup, is wanted by Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur and the player himself revealed that the London club have made an official bid for him.
The midfield-man is yet to decide on his future, but a deal could be struck between the two clubs with the price-tag expected to be around £17million.
Thiago Alcantara | FC Barcelona to Manchester United
It has been widely reported that the 22-year-old will snub a new contract offer from Barcelona and join Premier League champions Manchester United this summer, but nothing concrete has been announced yet by either club.
New United boss David Moyes is keen to bring him in and turn him into the new Paul Scholes.
It is expected that the deal will cost United around £17million and personal terms will need to be agreed, but it is a deal that has a lot of potential to come true.
Gonzalo Higuain | Real Madrid to Arsenal
One of the longest-running transfer sagas already this summer could be coming to an end next week as it was announced that Arsenal officials had flew over to Spain this weekend to secure a deal.
Higuain wants to leave Madrid and wants to join Arsenal. Arsene Wenger wants to sign a new striker with a proven goal-scoring record. Simple...
The reported fee is estimated around £22million and we fully expect a deal to be announced either this week or next.
Isco | Malaga to Manchester City
Wherever Isco goes he will be a great capture for a club - it seems as if he is destined for Real Madrid, but if Manchester City can snap up the youngster, then he would prove to be a great signing.
Manuel Pellegrini, who is the new City boss, worked with Isco at Malaga and is keen to bring him to England with him and the fee in question is around £25.5million for the Spaniard.
Edinson Cavani | Napoli to Chelsea
Will he or won't he. Chelsea or Real Madrid.
The striker's mother has said he is in formal talks with Spanish giants Real Madrid whilst the player himself has admitted he'd move to either team interested.
The clubs interested will have to offer a whopping £54million for the Uruguayan, but that price-tag doesn't seem to be putting off either Chelsea or Real Madrid.
