Several stars at La Liga clubs have already made the move to Premier League teams this summer - and more could follow.
Here are five La Liga starlets that could move to England's top-flight league over the next couple of months:
Antoine Griezmann | Real Sociedad
The 22-year-old French winger enjoyed a fantastic season for Real Sociedad last term. His nine goals helped La Real to achieve their best-placed finish since 2002, and gain them entry to the Champions League next year.
It is reported than Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is interested in bringing the tricky winger into his squad for the start of the new season. But with Sociedad’s involvement in Europe’s biggest club competition, in order to see him at the Emirates Stadium next year, a large transfer fee is likely to be involved.
Geoffrey Kondogbia | Sevilla
Kondogbia will be a name not many England fans will have heard before. At the age of just 20, he has forced his way into the Sevilla starting line-up, and is deservingly seeking his first cap for the French international senior side sometime in the near future.
Being likened to Yaya Toure in many aspects, he would be an exciting prospect for us all to enjoy in the Premier League.
Both the Manchester clubs, as well as Arsenal and Chelsea, have all been linked with a move for the young defensive midfielder. However, as any negotiations are yet to take place, it would be unsurprising to see a group of European top teams going head-to-head to gain his signature.
Inigo Martinez | Real Sociedad
Along with Griezmann, young centre-back Inigo Martinez contributed greatly in Real Sociedad’s success last season. At just 22-years-old he has already been many punters' pick as the best young upcoming defenders in the world.
Once again Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are all keeping a close eye on Martinez, who has a £30m release clause in his contract. But with Sociedad being unwilling to sell their new acquisition, this price tag may have to be met in order for any team to stand a chance of adding him to their side.
Isco | Malaga
We are all now familiar with the young man Isco, who set the Spanish league alight last season. Malaga’s bright spark has become one of the most in-demand and exciting prospects in world football. He has the ability to become to next Xavi or Andres Iniesta, and the quality to play in any side.
Manchester City is the English club that has been linked with a move for the young Spaniard. But they will have to fight off huge competition from one of Malaga’s big Spanish rivals Real Madrid to stand any chance of capturing this impressive playmaker.
Thiago Alcantara | Barcelona
Another familiar name to football fans all over the globe, Thiago Alcantara is in a way unlucky to be a Barcelona player in the sense that he would get a starting spot in any other team in the world. His recent first-half hat-trick in the European U21 Championship final is, to date, his best achievement.
Manchester United is the most likely destination for Thiago, with the Red Devils currently in discussion with Barcelona about a move to Old Trafford.
However, if Barca are to fail in their pursuit of Chelsea’s Juan Mata, English fans may never be fortunate enough to see the 22-year-old grace the Premier League.
