Micah Richards has rejected Manchester City's offer of a new contract, which will prompt a three-way battle for his signature according to TalkSPORT.

The full-back has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium, and only made seven Premier League appearances last season, although that was also down to injury.

Despite that Manchester City are said to be keen on tying down the 25-year-old with a new deal.

According to TalkSPORT three clubs, Chelsea, Inter Milan and AC Milan are monitoring developments.

Richards' current deal expires in 2015 and Manchester City are reportedly not willing to let him run his deal down, which mean he could be no the move this summer or next.

According to TalkSPORT, new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is an admirer of Richards' ability and could make a move to secure his services.

However the Chelsea boss may face competition from both Milan clubs. Inter have been linked with a move for the Manchester City man in the past.

Recent reports suggested Richards was close to signing a four-year deal with the Citizens.
