Chelsea and Manchester City target Edinson Cavani is unhappy with the Napoli president and has demanded face-to-face talks after the FIFA Confederations Cup.
Both Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly trying to sign the forward, though the recent comments from Aurelio De Laurentiis could see the transfer saga finished soon.
Cavani has been linked with a switch to Real Madrid, as well as the Premier League duo, though Napoli are reportedly holding out for one of the clubs’ to meet the player’s £54million buyout clause.
However, it has emerged that this clause expires on August 10 and none of Chelsea, Manchester City or Real Madrid are willing to bow to Napoli’s demands.
De Laurentiis is keen for Cavani’s future to be resolved before he returns to Italy from Confederations Cup duty on July 20, jokingly claiming he would “smash his head in” if it wasn’t.
Cavani evidently did not see the funny side of this and insisted he would require face-to-face discussions to resolve the issue.
"The quotes by the president were heavy and strong. I don't like it,” he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"I want to talk to him face to face.”
