We have seen the Premier League dominating the world stage for a few years now.
England's top-flight league has attracted all sorts of fans from around the world due to big-money stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and the likes of Carlos Tevez at the peak of their careers, but now we are starting to see a dip in quality - and interest - in the Premier League as we see the German Bundesliga starting to dominate.
The brand of football in Germany is attractive for all sorts of reasons, not least its passion that we are seeing a lack of in the Premier League.
Rules such as wage caps and the 50% ownership rule, introduced by the German FA has led to more supporters and more of a passion from the players, playing for the team instead of for the weekly wage bill, something seen all too often in the Premier League.
Players such as Mario Gotze and Marco Reus, exciting new players have come through the German youth setup, have impressed. This opportunity they have been given to the big clubs such as Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund has meant that not only do the young players improve but also the national team.
The German national team looking particularly strong at the moment. While in the Premier League we see the top teams dominated by foreign players who often look disinterested.
The ruling for season tickets from big clubs, especially Bayern Munich, allows fans to go to all the matches in a season for as little as £104.
The president of Bayern said: "We do not think the fans are like cows who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody, that's the biggest difference between us and England".
English clubs have shot themselves in the foot in the last few seasons and undoubtedly as things stand we shall see the good of German football prevail in the future unless something is done in the Premier League.
