Chelsea starlet target Geoffrey Kondogbia has admitted that the Blues are ‘a great team’.
The Sevilla defender was scouted extensively by the west London outfit before Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, according to The Evening Standard, and is a wanted man across Europe.
Indeed, La Liga giants Real Madrid are also keen on the 20-year-old, who is currently representing Les Bleus at the U20 World Cup.
But, whilst Kondogbia is happy to admit that both Los Blancos and the Blues are top teams, he’s happy with life at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
"I am flattered to be linked with Real Madrid. They are a top club, but Sevilla are fantastic for me at the moment,” he said, according to The Standard.
"Chelsea are also a great team with a great manager, so let's wait and see what will happen after the World Cup.”
Mourinho has replaced Rafa Benitez at the Chelsea helm, and is sure to have his own transfer plans in place this summer on the King’s Road.
However, ‘the special one’ will not want to lose a potential transfer battle with his former club, and if Kondogbia does become available, a major transfer battle could ensue. But, with the player happy in Seville, another 12 months could pass before a possible exit.
