Mario Gomez's future with German giants Bayern Munich is uncertain after losing his spot in the team to Croatian Mario Mandzukic at the end of last season.
Gomez who netted 19 goals for the treble-wining side, fell out of favour with manger Jupp Heynckes in the later parts of the season.
However, new Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola refused to go into much detail on the matter.
He told reporters in a press conference: "Mario Gomez is a Bayern Munich player."
When CEO of the club Kalle Rummenigge was asked by reporters about the matter he simply said: "Mario Gomez will start training with us on Wednesday. Up to now we have not received a formal offer."
A whole group of clubs are thought to be interested in Gomez - including Juventus, Napoli, Tottenham, Fiorentina and Chelsea.
Bayern Munich will demand a fee of around £17million for his services - a figure which many teams will be delighted with seeing as the German international netted 19 goals in last season's campaign, despite missing the first three months of the season due to an ankle surgery.
