Arsenal star dismisses Barcelona transfer talk
Arsenal transfer news: Laurent Koscielny plays down talk of Barcelona move
Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has played down talk of a summer move away from the club.
The 27-year-old centre back has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium in recent months, with The Daily Express claiming both Barcelona and Bayern Munich are interested in adding his services.
However, the Frenchman is happy with life in north London, has a four-year contract with the Gunners and is looking to test himself in the Champions League once again next season.
"I have four-year contract. For now, I am still at Arsenal,” he told La Montagne newspaper.
"The most important thing is that Arsenal is in the Champions League. It is super exciting to play against the best teams in Europe."
Koscielny joined the Gunners in the summer of 2010, with Arsene Wenger bringing the player to the English capital following an impressive season with Lorient the previous year.
And, since arriving in the Premier League, the 10-cap international has grown in stature year-on-year, becoming a permanent fixture in the Arsenal defence.
His comments will be a major boost to both the management and supporters of the club, having seen captain Cesc Fabregas leave for Barcelona two-years ago.
