Tottenham Hotspur flop David Bentley is on the radar of Stoke City, according to SkySports.
Right midfielder Bentley, was released on a free after five years with Spurs after he failed miserably to live up to his billing as the next David Beckham.
The former Blackburn Rovers star is one of the most expensive Spurs signings in history.
Despite his hefty price tag, his return of five goals and 62 appearances in a Spurs shirt reveals how ineffective he was during that stint.
He had various loan spells after failing to displace Aaron Lennon, including a spell in Russia with FC Rostov.
Apart from that brilliant volley against Arsenal; most of the things achieved by Bentley have been forgotten by the White Hart Lane faithful.
He never got going at Spurs or during the loan spells and will be hoping that a move to Stoke City might help him get back on track.
Stoke City manager Mark Hughes rates Bentley very highly as the duo worked together during their stint at Blackburn Rovers.
