The future of Cristiano Ronaldo is still uncertain, despite Real Madrid president

The potential of him leaving the Spanish capital this summer is unknown, but if the Spanish club are willing to let their star depart, then there will be a host of clubs wanting his services.

Here, we look at some of the clubs Ronaldo could leave the Bernabeu for this summer:

Manchester United:

A return to Old Trafford has been discussed for a number of months and the Portuguese star was, and still is, well loved in Manchester - but it's unlikely the club could afford his services.

However, with United potentially looking to cash in on Wayne Rooney, could the sale of the striker allow the funds for Ronaldo to rejoin United

With fellow countryman, and former manager, Jose Mourinho now in charge at Chelsea, it is hardly surprising that there have been rumours of Ronaldo following him. A split in the Madrid dressing room last season could be enough to sway the winger to return to the Premier League.

PSG certainly have the money to afford Ronaldo and while the lure of millions could be enough to draw him there, the quality of football in the French league could push him away.

AS Monaco are reportedly showing interest in the winger, and the lure of a Monte Carlo lifestyle and the tax haven, coupled with earning millions, is an even more tempting prospect for the worlds most expensive player. However, Monaco are not in the Champions League and if Ronaldo wants to be seen as the best player in the world, then he will be unable to give up on Europe's elite competition.

While Ronaldo is likely to have a number of options this summer, a fair guess would suggest that the Spanish giants will pull out all the stops to hold onto their star player.
