Dutch wonderkid Marco van Ginkel's £15million move to Chelsea is in advanced stages, the player's agent confirmed.
The 20-year-old midfielder is also believed to be chased by Chelsea's arch-rivals Manchester United.
However, Van Ginkel's agent, Karel Jansen, is confident over a move to Chelsea after he held positive talks with boss Jose Mourinho.
In an interview with the Metro, Jansen said: "I have spoken to Jose Mourinho and there have been very serious talks about a deal."
Chelsea are understood to have approached Van Ginkel’s club Vitesse Arnhem earlier this month to discuss a deal for the youngster, but failed to reach an agreement.
"There are other clubs interested, but the talks with Mourinho have been very positive," Jansen added.
Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer a bid closer to Vitesse's £15million asking price, after seeing an £8million bid rejected earlier this month.
Van Ginkel, who has been given assurances of regular football at Stamford Bridge, will become Mourinho's second signing on his return to Chelsea, having completed the signing of German starlet Andre Schurrle from Bayern Leverkusen.
