Following Pep Guardiola's official unveiling as Bayern Munich manager on Monday he has set his sights on making Liverpool's Luis Suarez his first signing of the summer.

The Uruguay international has been heavily linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid but Guardiola will attempt to hijack the move now he has officially taken charge at the Allianz Arena, according to Sports Direct News.

The 26-year-old striker wants a move away from Liverpool after claiming the English media has targeted him since his switch to the Premier League from Ajax in 2011, although the Merseyside club are reluctant to sell.

Bayern are in the hunt for another forward with Mario Gomez set to exit the club this summer, with Fiorentina the most likely to land the German.

Guardiola may have reason to feel confident on Suarez's capture, as brother Pere Guardiola is the Uruguayan's agent, and Pep will be hoping that he will play a key role in bringing the forward to the champions of Europe.
