Bayern Munich are ready to make a £14m offer for Manchester City defender Micah Richards, according to the Daily Star.
Richards found first-team opportunities at City limited due to the form of Pablo Zabaleta and a knee injury last season - and may seek a move elsewhere to ensure that he gets the regular football that he wants.
Pep Guardiola is a reported admirer of the 25-year-old Englishman and may make the move to try and bring him to the Allianz Arena with him.
Richards still has two years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, but questions marks have been raised over his future as the club have made no signs that a new deal is in the pipeline for the England international, who only made seven appearances last campaign.
City’s new boss Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly not spoken to Richards to tell him if whether he is in his plans for this season.
But a move to Bayern would certainly be a flattering one for Richards, as Guardiola looks to build on the success that saw the German giants secure the treble last season.
