With the Money in the Bank pay-per-view just under three weeks away, here’s a look at the potential outcome to the main event.

The winner of the match will earn a contract that guarantees a fight for the WWE championship, any time or place that the winner wants.

Eleven of the twelve former winners have cashed in the briefcase to win the championship that they challenged for - meaning the winner of the Money in the Bank match is almost guaranteed to win a world title.

The competitors in this year’s main event were announced on Raw - CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Christian and returning Rob Van Dam will all be scrapping it at out for the title shot.

All of these men are accomplished former World Champions in the WWE and so the main aim of this match is to propel one of these wrestlers back into the title picture, rather than to give a wrestler their first shot at being a main-evener.

My prediction for the winner is the man who has the hottest act in the WWE right now, Daniel Bryan.

Bryan came into the WWE as an independent wrestler and has become one of the best loved wrestlers in the company.

If Bryan wins I believe that he will take the ‘courageous’ route of cashing in the briefcase, by informing John Cena that he will cash it in at one the WWE’s biggest shows of the year, SummerSlam. The WWE are unlikely to take the title off of John Cena at SummerSlam since he waited for over a year for a run with the belt but Vince McMahon will want to capitalise on Bryan’s success by giving him the title further down the line.
