Reports in recent weeks have linked Chelsea to virtually every big-name player available.

Possibilities of Radamel Falcao, Edison Cavani, Hulk, Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso, Gomez and Jovetic – which already sounds like a FIFA dream team.

Now Chelsea are getting a taste of their own medicine with mega-rich clubs emerging all over Europe, vehement in their approach to secure signatures.

Monaco have landed Radamel Falcao, Barcelona Neymar, and Manchester City has acquired the laborious services of Fernandinho.

Robert Lewandowski is set to remain at Borussia Dortmund and Cristiano Ronaldo has rejected the claim he will join Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea can still, however, capture the Uruguayan bulls-eye Edison Cavani, the ever so behemoth Hulk and Fiorentina’s Jovetic.

Mourinho has shown his leadership by refusing to distract any of his targets that are currently competing in a goal flurry Confederations Cup.

When the final whistle blows, and the winners of the 2013 Confederations Cup lift the trophy, the European leagues will vigorously awaken, sending managers back to primitive stages in the hope to capture their targets.

Chelsea may capture Cavani and/or Hulk, but if other clubs persuade the Uruguayan and Brazilian elsewhere, well then Chelsea will still have a powerful plan B.

Chelsea has one of the best academies in Europe, annually producing young starlets. And although Stamford Bridge is infamous for ignoring their young talent, Mourinho has iterated that he will give the youngsters a chance.

With talent in the forms of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathaniel Chalobah, Jamal Blackman, Nathan Ake, Josh McEachran - and arguably most popular in the group, Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea still have a good chance of remaining on top of the league through their youth.

Mourinho is keen to place Lukaku as the lead man, after an impressive spell at West Brom, notching in 17 goals which labeled him 6th highest goal scorer for the 2012/13 Premier League season.

Chelsea will hopefully turnover a new milestone and finally display the young talent they possess. And the most effective way to initiate the milestone is through Kevin De Bruyne, Josh McEachran and Romelu Lukaku.
