Tottenham make £6.5m bid for Arsenal defender target

Published 1 Comments

Tottenham Hotspur have lodged a £6.5million bid to sign Arsenal target Tin Jedvaj, according to the Daily Mail.

The Dinamo Zagreb defender is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Croatia at the moment, and has attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

AS Roma are believed to be monitoring the 17-year-old's situation and were linked with a £5million move for Jedvaj earlier this summer.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is also thought to be keen to bring the talented teenager to the Emirates Stadium, as he continues to scour the European market for prospective stars of the future.

However, Spurs are now looking to pip their north London rivals Arsenal - and Roma - to Jedvaj's signature, as Andre Villas-Boas attempts to lure the player to White Hart Lane.

The Portuguese tactician is on the lookout for new players to strengthen his squad, and although Jedvaj would be regarded as one for the future, Tottenham would do well to secure the Croatia U19 international's services this summer.
