Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry admits the sale of Carlos Tevez is a massive blow for the club.
The Argentinian striker completed a quick-fire move away from the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, finalising a move to Serie A champions Juventus in a deal worth £12m.
Tevez spent four years at Manchester City after controversially moving from fierce-rivals Manchester United but, because of this move, he soon became a fan favourite.
Despite having his lows during his City stint - in particular when he refused to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and then left the club without permission for six months - his former team-mate Barry admits that the striker will be a massive loss for the former Premier League champions.
The 29-year-old striker has been influential for City over the past few seasons and played key roles in their Premier League and FA Cup successes.
Barry has spoken out about the move and he insists that Tevez will be a real hit in Italy with the champions.
"It will be a massive loss for Manchester City," the midfielder told Sky Sports News. "He has had a fantastic few years there and he has been fantastic to play alongside.
"To hear that news is quite sad but he will go and do a great job wherever he goes."
Tevez finalised his move yesterday after agreeing to a three-year deal and then passing his medical and in his press conference, he revealed that he rejected a move to AC Milan in order to join Juve.
The sale from City means that they only have two strikers left at their club: Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero.
