Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has chosen his current European and Rest of the World XI, and surprisingly the Englishman has only picked one English player and that was ex-Gunner, Ashley Cole.

Wilshere was picking his two teams to help the launch of Fans All Star Global Vote - which is a new football fantasy game.

The 21-year-old picked his starting XI for European-born players and he also picked an opposition XI from the rest of the world.

Not only did Wilshere only choose one Englishman, he also left out Tottenham star Gareth Bale.

The Welshman won three individual awards for his performances last season, which were; Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year, PFA Young Player and the Football Writers' Association award, but he couldn't make it into Wilshere's European XI.

The Arsenal-man commented on his team selections by saying it wasn't about individual performances, but it was more about putting a team together that could potentially work with each other if they were to ever play as a team.

Below you can read the two teams he chose.
