Leighton Baines is set to earn £80,000 a week, if he can push through a move to Manchester United this summer, according to The Metro.
United are known admirers of the left-back and have already tried to acquire his services, but their initial bid of £12 million was rejected by Everton.
The Toffees are determined to keep hold of Baines, who has become their prized asset after a series of brilliant performances, but David Moyes is hoping that his former player will force through a move to the Premier League champions.
Earlier in the week it was assumed that Baines was set to stay at Everton, after he spoke of his excitement in linking up with new manager Roberto Martinez.
But doubts about his future crept back in when United made a formal offer for the 28-year-old.
It is now unknown where Baines will start the new Premier League campaign, but Moyes has made no secret of wanting to bring the England international to Manchester with him and appears to be continuing with in his pursuit, despite Everton’s reluctance to sell.
