Carlos Tevez has completed a move to Juventus from Manchester City for a fee rumoured that could rise to £12million with add-ons.
Now the Argentine has gone, the club is left with only Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko in the striking department - so was letting Tevez go a mistake?
Manchester City have enough money to afford anyone they want, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll get their man.
They have been linked with a host of world-class strikers in previous seasons including Radamel Falcao, Gonzalo Higuain and Edinson Cavani.
Manhester City were at their fluent best when Aguero and Tevez were leading the line. The two had a telepathic understanding of the other's game which will be difficult to replicate with another player.
If Manchester City are to reclaim the Premier League title and improve on their woeful performances in Europe then they need to acquire another top-class striker to replace Tevez. Especially considering the dip in form the club's strikers had last season.
With Cavani and Higuain looking likely to sign elsewhere, top talent is becoming more and more scarce.
Liverpool's Luis Suarez is another option who could work well together with Aguero but the Uruguayan has already said he wants to leave the Premier League.
Which striker do you think Manchester City should target in order to replace Tevez? Have your say below.
