There has been a lot of publicity around Chelsea in the last few weeks and mainly it has been focused on the return of manager Jose Mourinho.

Many fans are labelling Chelsea as title favourites already but I still believe Mourinho will find it a lot tougher this time around to be successful in the Premier League.

First of all lets take a look back at Mourinho's first stint at Chelsea FC.

He came from Portugal and in his first press conference he labelled himself as 'The Special One' and, to his credit, he did prove that he was a very special manager.

In his three years at Stamford Bridge he managed 185 games and his side won 124 of those matches resulting in a win ratio of 67%.

He guided Chelsea to five trophies: two Premier League titles (2005 and 2006), two League Cups (2005 and 2007) and also one FA Cup (2007).

During his time at Real Madrid, he only managed to win two trophies. In my opinion, Spanish football is easier and less competitive than English football.

Now I'm not saying he's lost his ability to manage a team, but winning just two trophies with Real Madrid isn't exactly a great return.

So he's now back at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea squad he has at his disposal is a quality one and I can not stress that enough. The likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Oscar, David Luiz add up to one of the strongest teams in the league, but is it better than the side he had in his first stint?

Mourinho will miss having Didier Drogba around, he will miss having John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Petr Cech in their prime.

Also the league itself is so much more competitive.

Back in his first stint, he was tackling Manchester United and maybe just Arsenal.

Nowadays, he will have to battle with the likes of United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and maybe even Liverpool.

I think Mourinho will do well at Chelsea, I do, but I do not think it will be easy for him and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't live up to the expectations of a lot of people.
