Manchester City have put together a four-man striker wish-list of potential replacements for Carlos Tevez - and Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez is top of the list, according to the Independent.
Tevez left the Etihad Stadium earlier this week in a £12m move to Italian side Juventus, and that sale leaves City with just two recognisable strikers in Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko.
Their attentions have now turned to Champions League winners Bayern Munich, as they are plotting a £20m bid for Gomez.
The German striker has fallen down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena since the signing of Mario Mandzukic last summer, while City are also strongly linked with Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
New manager Pep Guardiola has already revealed that he will listen to offers for Gomez and will accept an offer around the £20m mark.
However, if City fail in their pursuit of Gomez, they have three other strikers that are on their wish-list: Sevilla's Alvaro Negredo, Roma's Pablo Osvaldo and Benfica's Oscar Cardozo.
City believe that their most realistic hope is the latter striker as he has recently had a fall-out with his club in Portugal.
Cardozo, who scored in the Europa League final against Chelsea, has had a major fall-out with the manager and will be leaving the club this summer.
Benfica want around €17m (£14.5m), but are also willing to listen to offers around the €15m (£12.8m) mark.
