Marko Marin has agreed to join Sevilla on a season-long loan from Chelsea, the Blues have confirmed on their official website.

The Germany international joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen last season, but he found first-team opportunities sparse, making only 16 appearances for the London-based club.

It seems as if the 24-year-old has not done enough to convince Jose Mourinho to give him more action this season, as Chelsea continue to look to add to an attacking line-up filled with quality - and the loan move was seen as the ideal move by both parties.

Sevilla are known to be on the lookout for offensive players after losing Jesus Navas to Manchester City, and whilst Marin may not be a direct replacement for the Spanish star, he’ll go some way to filling the void left by his departure.

Marin came to Chelsea with a reputation as a top-talent after impressing during his time at Werder Bremen, but things haven’t worked out for him at Chelsea - and it seems that his time at the club is coming to an end.
