Footballers seem to be getting younger, with some of the hottest young prospects being signed before they are teenagers.
Many have broken through into the Premier League, with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain impressing in the 2012/13 campaign.
Many talented youngsters are currently being scouted by large Premier League clubs in hope of them developing into the next big star at the club.
We count down five of the best from around Europe.
Gerard Deulofeu | Barcelona
This tricky Spanish winger scored an impressive 18 goals for Barcelona B, as well as contributing six assists in just 33 appearances.
At only 19-years-old, it is certain he will grow and develop, however his electrifying pace and incredible dribbling has already sparked interest from a variety of clubs including Tottenham and Liverpool.
Marquinhos | AS Roma
The young, talented central defender has already secured a place in Roma's starting eleven, featuring in 26 Serie A matches - impressive for a 19-year-old.
The Brazilian possesses exceptional tactical awareness, which has helped him build a tremendous reputation, as well as interest from a variety of clubs including Spanish giants Barcelona.
Julian Draxler | Schalke
The German playmaker has been rumoured to join both Manchester United and Chelsea, perhaps due to his impressive goalscoring record. The 19-year-old scored 10 goals in 30 Bundesliga games last year- and have even scored a goal for his country.
A price of £38m has been spoken off - an incredibly high price for someone so young - however, he does clearly have ability.
Viktor Fischer | Ajax
An impressive 10 goals and five assists in only 23 matches for Ajax has attracted attention towards the young Danish winger. He also won the Ajax 'talent of the year award', showing the potential he has.
Similarly to Draxler, both Manchester United and Chelsea have been rumoured to be scouting the youngster, who has the ability to perform well in the Premier League
Adam Maher | AZ
Another Eredivisie player, the Morocco-born midfielder actually represents Holland at an international level. Seven goals and five assists for AZ Alkmaar last season make Maher one of the hottest properties in world football.
The Dutchman has been strongly linked to fellow Eredivisie side Ajax, however I am certain that multiple Premier league clubs will be tracking him.
