Jessica Ennis-Hill has wished Jenson Button luck ahead of the British Grand Prix this weekend at Silverstone.
The athletics star told her official Facebook page: “Good luck to my fellow Santander ambassador Jenson Button this weekend at Silverstone – I can’t be there as I’m training.”
Button, nor teammate Nico Rosberg, have finished on the podium so far this season in what has been a disappointing campaign for Mercedes.
But Button will be hoping that he can have his best performance so far this season in-front of an expectant home-crowd.
Button is currently 10th in the Formula One driver’s standings whilst fellow British hopes Lewis Hamilton and Paul di Resta are currently placed 4th and 8th, respectively.
Ennis-Hill, meanwhile, is in training for the upcoming World Championships in Moscow, as she looks to recover from an Achilles injury - the competition takes place in August.
The Olympic gold medalist will be amongst Britain’s major medal hopes in the Championships.
