New Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is considering a move for Swansea City ace Michu, according to the Daily Star.
City are in desperate need of some striking firepower following the departure of Carlos Tevez to Juventus earlier this week.
And with a deal for Serie A star Edinson Cavani becoming increasingly unlikely, Pellegrini could turn to Premier League star Michu to provide the goals for his side next season.
Michu had a successful campaign at Swansea City last season, after setting the Premier League on fire in his first season at the Liberty City stadium.
He made 43 appearances for the Swans last season, scoring 22 goals for Michael Laudrup's side. And it is this kind of form that Manuel Pellegrini has been impressed with, sparking rumours he could make a move for the Spanish ace.
Swansea signed the striker for £2million from Rayo Vallecano last summer, as Laudrup used the Spanish market intensely to structure his new-look Swansea side.
The deal to sign the striker has been dubbed as one of the best pieces of business in Premier League history.
The striker didn't disappoint in his first season in English football making a big impression in Wales that has perhaps has quadrupled his worth.
Pellegrini, who had managed in Spain for the last nine years of his career prior to his move to Manchester City, is keen to add the former La Liga star to his arsenal.
