Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has stated that his Spanish team-mate and new Manchester City winger Jesus Navas is just as good as Tottenham's Gareth Bale.
The Spaniard spent 10 years with Sevilla in La Liga and came up against Iniesta on numerous occasions, but the winger recently left Spain in order to join Manchester City for an initial £14.9m
New City boss Manuel Pelligrini was keen to make Navas one of his first signings and wrapped the deal up pretty quickly - and Iniesta has been quoted saying it is a very special signing for Man City.
The Spain star then went on to talk about Navas' skill and pace and likened him to Bale, who set the Premier League alight last season with his sensational performances for Tottenham.
Bale went on to pick three individual awards at the end of last season and Iniesta believes Navas is just as good.
"He's going to cause the defences in the Premier League a real problem when he plays for City," Iniesta told the Sunday Mirror. "Jesus has so much speed, and his feet are so quick, that it becomes nearly impossible to stop him without fouling him.
"The only player that I can compare him with that is already playing in England is Gareth Bale."
