Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan have been fined by the WWE for their actions during a street fight last Monday, on Raw.
Orton and Bryan’s match on Raw received rave reviews, however the WWE have decided to fine them due to Bryan being struck in the head with a chair during the match.
The strike to the head came when Bryan jumped off the top rope and was caught by Orton's chair shot to the head.
The WWE have outlawed all chair shots to the head in recent years and showed their intent to fine talents if they do use chair shots to the head in 2011, when they fined Triple H and The Undertaker afro their actions during WrestleMania 27.
The Wrestling Observer reports that the fine is totally legitimate and is not a part of the storyline. The WWE have become a lot more wary of concussions and are taking every measure possible to protect their wrestlers from serious injury.
Two WWE Superstars, Dolph Ziggler and Fandango, have suffered concussions recently, so the incident between Orton and Bryan came at a time when the WWE was being especially careful to protect their talent from injury.
The exact amount of money that the two were fined has not been announced, but we can assume it was a large amount. "Trust me, it was enough," Orton said himself.
