Arsenal's Spanish duo, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal, are set to miss the club's tour of the Far East and could also miss the season opener against Aston Villa on August 17 due to an extended holiday, according to The Sun.
Manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he has given both players an extended holiday because of their participation in the Confederations Cup with Spain, which ended on Sunday night.
For the rest of the Arsenal players, they are expected to return to training on Thursday and will then fly out to the Far East the week after where they will play four friendly against local opposition.
It is thought that both Cazorla and Monreal will have a month off, so will not report to first-team training until early August, just a fortnight before the new Premier League campaign gets underway.
The Gunners also host their traditional Emirates Cup tournament on the first weekend of August, so it is likely that both Spaniards will miss the competition which this year features Napoli, Galatasaray and FC Porto.
Cazorla has featured in two of Spain's games in the tournament, playing against Uruguay and Tahiti, whilst Monreal has only featured once - in the 10-0 win over minnows Tahiti.
