PSG defender Mamadou Sakho has admitted that he faces a massive decision as to where he will be playing his football next season.

With a new contract offer from manager Laurent Blanc on the table, Sakho will have to decide whether his future lies with the club he has played for all of his life, or elsewhere in Europe, with Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool being strongly linked with the France international.

Serie A side AC Milan are also thought to be one of the teams teams monitoring Sakho's situation closely.

The 23-year-old centre-back has spent his entire career with the Paris-based side, having graduated from the academy system in 2007. The France international has played a somewhat supporting role of late, as PSG's mega-rich owners have preferred to use former Chelsea defender Alex and famous Brazilian Thiago Silva at centre-back last season.

And PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi's spending shows no sign of slowing, which could force homegrown players like Sakho to consider their futures, as foreign talent is often being preferred at the Parc Des Princes.

Sakho could only make 27 appearances last season in the Ligue 1 campaign, which saw Paris finish top of Ligue 1. But despite their title victory, Sakho feels that he may have to move on to force his way back into the France national team.

"I have to take a decision," he told reporters. "PSG are my club. I was born here and learnt my football here. I want to play for this club my entire life, but it has to be clear that I don't want to sit on the bench.

"I did not play as much I like last season because of the manager's choices. Every player wants to play every week and I am no different."

Sakho confirmed that new manager Laurent Blanc has offered him a new contract, but with Premier League club Liverpool interested he could move away from the Parc Des Princes this summer.

"There is an offer on the table," he added. "With the new manager Laurent Blanc. I can talk and see what he thinks. I am flattered to be linked with clubs the history of Liverpool and AC Milan. We will see what happens in the near future."
