Rey Mysterio's absence from the WWE has not gone unnoticed and the master of the 619 has hinted at a return.

Mysterio competed in the 2013 Royal Rumble match and the following weeks SmackDown, when he and Sin Cara defeated, the then WWE Tag Team champions, Team Hell No in a non-title match.

But, he has not featured in a ring since and it is understood that Mysterio was forced to take a leave of absence due to a knee injury following a vicious attack by Mark Henry.

Although, Mysterio has hinted when he will be returning to the ring. He tweeted recently: "Round 2 of personal training for the day! Trying to make it back by SUMMERSLAM!!"

Mysterio made his WWE pay-per-view debut at SummerSlam 11 years ago and come August 14, he will hope to be there again. However, the jury is out as to whether he will be able to fulfil his ambition and recover in time.
