Lokomotiv Moscow star makes embarrassing open-goal gaffe

Published 2 Comments

Lokomotiv Moscow striker Dame N'Doye has served up the first open-goal gaffe of the 2013/14 campaign, in a 2-0 friendly defeat against NK Maribor on Sunday afternoon.

The 28-year-old - making his first appearance for the Russian side since returning from his summer holidays - looked to be more than a little rusty, after spurning an easy goalscoring opportunity against the Slovenian opponents.

After a comical piece of pre-season defending, N'Doye was teed up by a team-mate from 12-yards out after intercepting the ball, and with the goal at his mercy the Senegal international could only fire his clumsy effort high over the crossbar.

With the majority of major European squads reporting back for pre-season training today, it won't be long before friendly season kicks into gear, and there is an endless amount of contenders for the worst miss of the 2013/14 campaign.

But, for now, scroll to 6mins 05secs and sit back and enjoy Dame N'Doye's terrible effort for Lokomotiv Moscow below - with thanks to 101greatgoals.com for bringing it to our attention - and feel free to share your favourite open-goal gaffes in the comment box provided!
