Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara could treble his wages if he joins Manchester United this summer, according to The Metro.
It has been widely reported that the English champions are desperate to bring in Thiago from the Spanish champions but, after original reports suggested that a deal was already in place, the player's future is still not 100% guaranteed.
After the reports came out suggesting Thiago was all-set for a move to Old Trafford, it then became clear that Barcelona were considering offering the Spaniard a new contract at the club.
However, if Thiago was to complete a move from the Catalans to United, he would earn three times as much as he currently does.
New United manager David Moyes is adamant on making Thiago his first big summer signing after missing out on his team-mate Cesc Fabregas.
Thiago, who has just returned from the U21's European Championships, is not happy with the amount of game-time he is getting at the Nou Camp and he is ready to leave his boyhood club in order to find first-team football.
