When The Goldfields Australian Open begins on July 8, the name on everybody’s lips has got to be current World Number one Neil Robertson.

The Wuxi Classic champion will be in his home town and is arguably in the form of his career as he hopes to bring home his second title of the season and third of the year after his China Open victory.

John Higgins and Neil Robertson have met twice in the first three tournaments of the 2013/14 season, Higgins came out on to in Bulgaria, sporting his new cue, whilst Robertson came out on top last week.

Other Players to look out for are World Number two Mark Selby, he was dismissed in qualifying in Wuxi and was narrowly beaten in the Yixing Asian tour final, and the former world number one will want to get some points on the board for the new season.

Players to look out for are Dechawat Poomjaeng, Joe Perry, Barry Hawkins, Marco Fu, Ding Junhui (who will be returning from the Asian indoor games the day before) and Robert Milkins. All have been in good form in the opening tournaments of this season and will be looking for their first title of the season.

The tournament runs from July 6 until July 18 with the final taking place on the last Sunday and being the best of 17 frames.
