Seth Jones is not holding a grudge against Colorado Avalanche after they didn’t pick him in the draft, despite being heavily linked with making a move.
Jones was tipped as a potential first-round draft pick, but ended up being selected fourth by the Nashville Predators in the draft.
But Jones, speaking to The Denver Post, said that he doesn’t hold anything against the Avalanche.
"It definitely sounded too good to be true," Jones said. "I'm not unhappy that they didn't choose me. It was their decision, and that's what they thought would be best for their organisation. You've got to respect that."
Jones is the son of former basketball star, ‘Popeye’ – real name Ronald, - and he made a name for himself on the USA National Team Development Program, before his move to the NHL.
The defence-man is expected to add pace and athleticism to the Nashville Predators' team, as they look to improve upon their second-bottom place finish in the Western Conference last season.
