Everyone knows that John Cena is one of the biggest superstars the WWE has ever had - he's like marmite, you either love him or hate him.

He's a successful rapper, actor and wrestler so you can understand why WWE want him to stay at the top of the pile for as long as possible, but I think his current reign has run it's course.

He is scheduled to face Mark Henry at Money in the Bank next Sunday but the rumours coming out of WWE is this is a sort of filler match and they have no plans for Henry to win possibly the biggest title in the business because he doesn't have the fans, following or swagger to be able to go toe to toe with John Cena in the ring or on the mic - so we fast forward to SummerSlam where Daniel Bryan should defeat John Cena for the title.

Daniel won the World Heavyweight Championship from The Big Show back in 2011 when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract after Big Shows gruelling match against Mark Henry.

Daniel again gets a chance to win the Money in the Bank contract when he takes place in The all-stars ladder match next week, which will ensure him at least a title shot, but most superstars decide to cash in their briefcases when the champion has been in a physically draining match, like Dolph Ziggler the night after WrestleMania when he cashed in on an injured Alberto Del Rio.

The former tag team champion deserves a fair title shot and on one of the grander pay per view stages, after weeks of being the focus point of WWE he has proved he has the mic skill to match Cena, he has proved how talented he is in the ring on many occasions, (Managing to clear the ring of all three members of The Shield alone a few weeks ago). The weak-link storyline can only play out with him winning a title, otherwise how else can he prove he isn't the weak-line if he doesn't win one of the biggest titles in the business?

The Kane/Randy Orton storyline feels like it's run its course and could finish in the ladder match next week, so if Bryan did win the contract he could fued with Cena but at the same time if he didn't I think the night after Money in the Bank would be a good place to have a Bryan/Cena confrontation. If Mark Henry loses at MITB he has no right to a rematch so that feud will be essentially over so it opens the door for Bryan.

WWE's main concern is wether or not Bryan can sell merchandise like Cena or maintain the following he has as champion, I feel like he has already proved this when he was World Champion and it will send the message to the WWE universe that you don't have to be attractive, have masses of female fans and movies etc to be taken serious in the business, yes Bryan is not the best looking guy in the world, nor is he the biggest, he is the underdog we all want to cheer for which makes him the perfect candidate for John Cena's next contender.

Either way WWE want to play this out, Daniel Bryan and John Cena have to cross paths at some point, they are the two biggest stars right now and the build up has to come to a head.
