Dwight Howard is believed to have had meetings with five teams as he begins to make a decision on his future.

An announcement is set to be made on July 10 - and the player has fled to California in order to make up his mind.

The Houston Rockets, the Atlanta Hawks, the Golden State Warriors, the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers are the teams that have shown a real desire to sign Howard.

All five teams have pulled out all the stops in order to try and influence the player - with the Lakers reportedly enlisting Jack Nicholson's help to try and convince him to stay on with the Los Angeles-based team.

All the teams have made massive efforts to convince Howard to join their city and team, and now he has a lot to think about ahead of his expected decision date next week.

The Rockets are considered the favourites but the Lakers are certainly in the mix too.

Howard has fled California in order to clear his head and get a fresh perspective on things.
