Bayern Munich have denied they are interested in signing Chelsea defender David Luiz, amidst speculation surrounding his future.
Reports this week had connected the Stamford Bridge favourite with moves to both Bayern Munich and Barcelona, but the Bundesliga champions have come out to deny that want him.
"At the moment we don't plan to bring more players in," said sporting director Matthias Sammer.
"But the transfer window is open for another two months and if anybody gets injured, we might react to that."
Jose Mourinho’s arrival for his second spell in charge of Chelsea had led to reports that he is ready to start a clear out at Stamford Bridge and one of the names mentioned was Luiz.
Barcelona have long been linked with a move for Luiz and a £30million price tag was mooted.
However, the 26-year-old has been steadily improving over the past couple of seasons and was an important player in the Blues run to third in the Premier League and Europa League victory last season.
Luiz’s future will likely be decided soon as he will return to Chelsea pre-season training in the next week or so following Brazil’s Confederations Cup triumph.
Selling the former Benfica star would be an unusual move for Mourinho, especially as he has been showing some of his best form yet as a Chelsea player at the end of last season.
