Manchester United midfield target Thiago Alcantara has been set a 10-day ultimatum by Barcelona, according to reports.
Catalan-based newspaper Sport claims the club want a decision from the Spanish international midfielder before July 15th, which would in-turn give the them time to sign a replacement.
The report goes on to claim that Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan would potentially be targeted if the 22-year-old academy graduate leaves for pastures new.
Manchester United aren’t the only club interested in Alcantara, with Sport reporting that German giants Bayern Munich – managed by old Barca boss Pep Guardiola – also want the player.
Were the Red Devils able to land the player, then it would be a major coup for manager David Moyes, who is looking to put his own mark on the side after replacing Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
Alcantara would also join rising Spanish star David De Gea at Manchester United, as the Premier League champions look to defend their crown next season.
