Harry Redknapp has signalled his interest in acquiring the services of Scott Parker, according to the Evening Standard.
The QPR manager believes Parker will bring him to the club as he looks to add experience and ability to his side in order to bounce straight back to the Premier League.
The 32-year-old midfielder has struggled to retain a first-team place in Tottenham’s line-up since his return from injury midway through last season.
The chances of Parker being allowed to leave strengthened as Paulinho was recently brought into the squad.
Another key component that might factor in Parker’s decision should he decide to leave White Hart Lane is his close relationship with Redknapp, forged during the latter’s reign in charge of Tottenham.
With Parker being valued at £2million, it’s unlikely that QPR, who have large financial backing, are going to be put off.
Fulham are also monitoring the situation and it could be that Parker opts to stay in the Premier League with the 2014 World Cup on the horizon.
One gets the feeling though that Redknapp’s close bond with the player would be enough to attract him to Loftus Road ahead of other rivals.
