When the Rotterdam Open begins on July 18 it will mark the first professional snooker event to be held in Holland for over 20 years and all of the stars are due to be there.
Four-time World Champion John Higgins will be one that's hoping for a good tournament after having made the perfect start to this season's European Tour by winning the Bulgarian Open last month.
"I'm really looking forward to the Rotterdam Open, it's great to go to a new event in a country where professional snooker hasn't been for a long time," said Higgins.
"I've had a good start to the season, winning in Bulgaria and getting to the final of the Wuxi Classic, and I'm hoping for another title in The Netherlands. I can't wait to see the reception from the Dutch fans and I hope they will support the event."
Among the contenders for the tournament are world number one Neil Robertson, legend Higgins, potting sensation Judd Trump, UK and Masters champion Mark Selby, Belgian youngster Luca Brecel and crowd pleaser Jimmy White.
The tournament will begin on July 18 with an amateur pre-qualifying day, with the professionals set to take to the table the following day to battle it out for the £25,000 prize.
Other stars in contention are Shaun Murphy, Stephen Maguire, Barry Hawkins, Mark Williams, Stuart Bingham, Ricky Walden and Matthew Stevens.
It is all set to be a great tournament of snooker in-front of Dutch fans that haven't seen a professional match for a very long time.
