Former Manchester City star Mario Balotelli has revealed that he tried to convince ex-team-mate Carlos Tevez to join AC Milan.
The Argentina international recently signed for Milan's Serie A rivals Juventus after City opted to sell him for £10m.
However, Balotelli was disappointed with his pal's decision, admitting that he tried to convince him to come to the San Siro.
Speaking to Italian reporters after Tevez completed his move to Juventus, Balotelli said: "Tevez is a good friend. I told him to come to Milan, however he didn't listen and went to Juve."
The pair enjoyed working together at the Etihad Stadium before Balotelli was shipped to AC Milan following an on-going saga of headline-hitting acts. But the Italy international seems to have matured following the move back to his home country.
Balotelli is yet to hit the Italian headlines in the way that he did with Manchester City, but has sprung into life again following the Tevez transfer.
He was desperate for the former Manchester United man to join him at Milan, but Tevez eventually chose the Serie A champions.
